Mousse inserts are the go-to choice for hard enduro, extreme enduro, and any discipline where a puncture could end your race or leave you stranded miles from anywhere. They're used by top enduro racers worldwide for exactly that reason.
What Are Mousse EXX Balls?
Mousse EXX balls are small, hollow polymer balls that fill the inside of your tyre instead of a traditional tube or solid mousse. They're designed to give a more air-like feel with puncture protection — if the tyre is pierced, the balls simply fill the gap and you keep riding.
EXX balls offer a slightly more compliant, dynamic feel compared to a solid mousse, and some riders find them easier to fit and remove. They're a newer technology and are gaining traction in enduro and trail riding circles.
Mousse vs EXX Balls: Key Differences
